Since 2011, the TWELVE project has given Galveston community members the opportunity to capture, through the art of photography, their unique viewpoints of life while raising money for worthwhile causes. A project created by Shannon Guillot-Wright and Will Wright, photography is used to highlight the diversity of people, scenery, architecture, and viewpoints. Proceeds from the annual sale of photos go towards the TWELVE fund, which raises money for Galveston area youth in need of financial assistance in the arts.
TWELVE is a nonprofit initiative fiscally sponsored by ARTSPIRE, a Program of New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA). The program is one of the oldest, largest, most prestigious and artist friendly in the country.
